Scan visiting cards printed in Hindi
Most card scanners only read English. A shop card from Barabanki or Lucknow, printed in Devanagari with the owner's name after "प्रो.", comes out as nonsense. SHOOT reads it.
What it reads
The owner's name, even when it is printed small under a shop name three times its size. "प्रो." or "Prop." tells SHOOT who the person is.
The shop or company: names like ट्रेडर्स, इण्टरप्राइजेज, ज्वैलर्स, मेडिकल स्टोर or टेन्ट हाउस are recognised as the business, not the person.
Both mobile numbers, including numbers printed in Hindi digits such as ९८७६५ ४३२१०, and with the phone or WhatsApp icon in front of them ignored.
The address after "पता", so the shop is one tap from the map.
Cards in Hindi and English
Many cards print both. SHOOT reads either script, keeps the name as it is printed, and the card can be corrected before you save it.
Read on your phone
The photograph is read on the phone itself and is never uploaded. Only the words become a card, saved in SHOOT and, if you like, in your phone's contacts.
Free. No account, no ads, and nothing of yours kept on our side.
