Remember where and when you met everyone

Your address book knows a name and a number. It does not know you met at a festival in June, or at the conference in Munich. Every card you keep in SHOOT carries both, without you typing anything.

Filed automatically

When you swap cards in a shoot, or scan a card or a QR code, SHOOT notes the date and names the place: the neighbourhood or the city, such as Shoreditch or Munich. The name is worked out on your phone and only that word is kept, never your coordinates.

Scan a conference badge and the person is filed under the event, with everybody else you met there. Name a group moment, a trip or a dinner, and it becomes the place for everyone in it.

Find people the way you remember them

Six months later you remember the person by where you met, not by their name. Search "Munich" and everybody from the Munich trip appears. Search the event, a word from a note, or what someone does, "ceramicist" or "plumber", and the right card comes up.

Add labels the way you actually think of people, such as clients, the Tuesday table or a band, and write a note on the back of anyone's card. Labels and notes stay on your phone and are never shown to the person.

Take it with you

Export your connections as a spreadsheet with a column for where you met and the date you met. It opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets and is ready to hand to a CRM.

Save any card to your phone's contacts and the note says where and when it came from.

Free. No account, no ads, and nothing of yours kept on our side.

Questions

Does SHOOT track my location?

No. The position is read for a few seconds while a swap or scan happens, turned into a place name on your phone, and discarded. Only the name, such as Shoreditch, is kept with the card. Nothing runs in the background.

Can I change or add the place?

Yes. Any card you scanned can be given a place or an event, and you can correct the name or details on your copy of anyone's card.

Can I export the place and date?

Yes. Export your connections as a spreadsheet; each row has the place and the date you met.
