Share your business card with a whole group in one tap
Other card apps are built for two people: one shows a QR code, the other scans it, and then the next person queues. SHOOT is built for the table, the room and the team dinner. Everyone taps once and every card changes hands.
The problem with one at a time
Ten people meet. With a QR code or an NFC card, that is forty-five separate swaps if everyone is to have everyone. In practice it is three or four, and the rest of the contacts are lost.
Paper is no better: a stack of cards in a pocket that has to be typed in later, or photographed one by one.
How a group swap works
Someone says "shoot". Everybody presses the button. Every phone that pressed within the same eight seconds, standing close enough, joins the same huddle.
Before anything is sent, you see who is in it. Somebody at the next table tapped at the same moment? Take them out. Then confirm, and the cards cross.
Cards save both ways: you get a card only if that person also kept yours. No requests to accept later, no one-sided follows.
Up to forty people
A huddle holds up to forty phones: a workshop, a team offsite, a wedding table, a group trip. Name the moment, "Lisbon offsite" for example, and everybody from it is one tap to find next year.
Private while it happens
While people are choosing, only names, titles, companies and photos are shown. Phone numbers, emails and profiles cross only between people who kept each other, so somebody you leave out never receives them.
Nothing is kept on our side: no account, no database, no record that the huddle happened.
Free. No account, no ads, and nothing of yours kept on our side.
Questions
How many people can swap business cards at once?
Up to forty phones in one huddle. Everyone who taps within the same eight seconds, standing together, joins it.
Does everyone need the app?
For the group tap, yes, it is free on iPhone and Android with no account. Anyone else gets your card as a link or QR code that opens in any browser.
What if a stranger taps at the same time?
You see everyone in the huddle before anything is sent, and you can drop anybody. Contact details only cross between people who both kept each other.
Is it free?
Yes, for individuals, with no ads and no subscription. Companies pay for verified cards in their own design.
